Age-specific programs for kids, teens and adults

At our Green Hills martial arts dojo, each class is designed around age, maturity and skill levels. This ensures every student can develop at their own pace in a safe and supportive environment.

Character Development

To elevate our long-standing “mat chats,” we’ve introduced monthly character sheets focused on 12 vital values. By exploring concepts like courage and honesty, we aim to spark meaningful conversations between our students and parents, helping children face life’s challenges with determination.

Minimites—Ages 3-4

Our Minimites program is perfect for children aged three to four. Through fun and structured activities, kids build coordination, focus and confidence while learning the foundations of karate.

Kindymites—Ages 5-6

Kindymites supports five to six-year-olds as they strengthen discipline and listening skills. Parents often notice positive changes in their children’s everyday lives, both at home and at school.

Dynamites—Ages 6-9

Dynamites introduces more structured karate training and practical self-defence. Students begin setting goals as they work towards their next belt with perseverance and commitment.

Dragons—9-14

Dragons caters for students aged 10 to 14 who are ready for greater challenges. Training develops fitness, respect and resilience, helping young people grow into confident and capable individuals.

Adults

Our Adults program is open to ages 14 and over, welcoming beginners through to advanced students. Classes focus on technique, fitness and practical self-defence, with clear pathways towards black belt.

Traditional karate, Muay Thai and functional fitness

We are known for delivering high-quality karate in Green Hills, grounded in the principles of Chitokai. Students learn strong fundamentals, refined techniques and disciplined movement within a professional dojo setting.

For those interested in striking-based training, we also incorporate Muay Thai in Green Hills through Hunter Fight Fit, structured sessions that build endurance, power and timing. These classes blend martial arts drills with conditioning work. It’s ideal for adults wanting to improve strength and cardio without stepping into full-contact sparring.

We also offer Okinawan Kobudo, the traditional art of weapons training. This program deepens understanding of martial arts history while refining coordination, control and focus.
